Four Things That Determine Your Screen Printing Price
Screen printing pricing is built from a few specific variables that combine to determine your total. Larger quantities generally reduce the printing cost per piece because production and setup costs are spread across more items.
For an exact price on your order, a quote is the fastest way to get an accurate total based on your garment, artwork, quantity and print locations.
Quantity of Shirts
Screen printing has a 12-piece minimum, and pricing improves at quantity breaks. If you need fewer than 12 pieces, UCP printing is available with no minimum.
Brand, Style & Color
The garment itself is part of your total. Pricing varies by brand, style, fit, fabric and color.
Number of Ink Colors
Each ink color requires its own screen and setup. Fewer colors generally mean lower setup and printing costs.
Print Placements
Front, back, sleeve and other locations are priced separately. Each additional print location adds to the order total.

Setup Fees & Rush Options
Screen fees are based on the number of ink colors. Rush service is subject to production approval and availability.

Typically 5–7 business days after proof approval, not order placement. Rush service is available when approved. Peak season may extend timelines.
Specialty Printing
Specialty Ink: +10% (puff, metallic, etc.)
Oversized Print: +20% (over 13" × 18")
Color Change: $10.00
Artwork
Corrections / Print Ready: $50.00 per hour
Art Submission
Vector: .AI, .EPS or .PDF with all text converted to outlines and files embedded.
Photoshop: .PSD at 300 DPI or higher at final print size. Please leave artwork in layers.
Supplied Apparel Handling
$0.75/piece for 1–100 items
$0.50/piece for 101 items and above
Receiving and processing fee for client-provided garments.
White Base / Underbase
Add one imprint color for each location on garments requiring a base or flash.
Light garment: No extra cost when all inks are darker than the garment.
Color garment: Add one color when any ink is lighter than the garment.

Screen Printing Is Best With:
- 1–2 colors at any quantity
- 3+ colors at 96 pieces or more
- Larger orders where setup is divided across a higher quantity
UCP Is Best With:
- Any full-color or photographic design
- 3+ colors under 96 pieces, with no setup fees
- Orders where flexible quantities or detailed artwork make full-color printing a better fit

Can I supply my own apparel?
Yes. Client-provided garments have a receiving and processing fee of $0.75 per piece for 1–100 items or $0.50 per piece for 101 items and above.
What if I need full-color printing or fewer than 12 pieces?
UCP is a strong option for full-color or photographic designs and smaller quantities because it has no minimum and no color setup fee.
