Direct to Garment printing offers full color images without set-up charges or the hassle of minimum quantities. DTG printing is the most cutting-edge method for printing shirts, and with our printer, we can take what you have on your computer screen and print onto shirts, almost like your desktop printer at home.

This method can be ideal for businesses to try out new designs, and to not worry about keeping stock of any certain designs. It can essentially be print on demand. If it sounds too good to be true, it’s not!  Direct to garment printing holds up for years and is still a very high quality imprint.

DTG can still print on your favorite t-shirts, bags, hoodies, polos and more.  It does look best on 100% cotton, ringspun items though.

Direct to Garment Pricing Factors:

Pricing for DTG depends on 5 key factors:

  • Quantity of shirts – DTG may make the most sense for smaller orders, however, if you have 12-48 shirts with a full color image (like a photograph), it may still be the best option. For higher quantities, screen printing may be more cost effective.  Our branding advisors are happy to help if you are unsure.
  • Brand, style, and color of shirts selected – the quality in the item you choose will affect your pricing View our catalog for shirt pricing
  • Size of the imprint – Branded sets the DTG pricing at left chest size (about 4″ wide) at a lower cost than a full size design (over 4″ wide).  Please send us your design and we can send you an estimate.
  • The Number of print locations (Front, back, sleeve, tag…) – Adding more placements does increase the price.
  • Order timeline– Branded offers a variety of rush service options to meet your deadlines, however, these orders may be more expensive than ones that can be completed in our normal turn-around time.
